Sheila Mae Cupit

Sheila Mae Cupit, 81, of Bridgman, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Country Care Manor, Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 29, at 2:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Sheila was born on September 22, 1931, in Coloma, MI, to Kendall and Rebecca (Jacob) Wilcox. She married Willie Cupit on June 11, 1964, in Benton Harbor, MI. Sheila was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family. Her interests included shopping, animals, music, and solving puzzles. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Cupit of Elk Grove Village, IL; a son William Cupit of Bridgman; 3 grandchildren, Cory Cupit, David Pahl, and Matthew McDermott; and 4 great-grandchildren, Cory, Jr., Aerith Nariko, Skyla, and Natalie. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sheila was preceded in death by two sisters Vera Wilcox and Wilma Bachman.
