John Ciro Forestieri, 56, of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am Monday, October 22, 2012 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Father William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00-5:00 p.m Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel. John was born on Christmas Day, 1955, in St. Joseph to Jack and Mary(Topping) Forestieri. He enjoyed a life filled with love, hard work, and kindness. John was a master plumber and a proud member of Local 357. He loved to play the blues on his harmonica and had a serious passion for music, film, and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Most of all, he loved his family.
John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen Forestieri of Benton Harbor; his son Christopher (Colleen) Forestieri; His father Jack Forestieri; his sisters Mary Beth (Lorne) McConachie, Chrisanne (Patrick) Stocker, and Catherine (Jay Perlmutter) Forestieri; his brothers Paul Forestieri and Thomas Forestieri; his Cousin Grace (Vince Miller) Orlando; his former sister-in-law Jacqueline Forestieri; his wife’s brothers and sisters; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary (Topping) Forestieri.
