Michaeline Konar

Michaeline Konar, 92, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Liturgical Prayers recited at 6:40 P.M. Michaeline was born April 22, 1920 in Hamtramck, MI to Michael & Mary (Chupka) Ziolkowski. On August 5, 1946, she married Edmund L. Konar in Hamtramck. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Peace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Michaeline is survived by her children-Leslie (William) Kowynia of Noblesville, IN, William (Judyann) Konar of Stevensville, Arlene (George) Morgan of St. Joseph; four grandchildren-Julie (Patrick) Bennett, Kristie (Michael) Dinsmore, Jill (Brian) Mead, Debra (Brian) Bickers; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund on April 4, 1989, a grandson Richard Kowynia, and by two brothers & three sisters.
