Mildred's Obituary

Mildred Klug, 90, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market St., St. Joseph, with Rev. Thomas Batsky officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Those wishing to sign Mildred’s Guest Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mildred was born December 21, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan to Bernard & Anna (Marutz) Nuechterlein. Her family moved to St. Joseph when she was very young, where she attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1940. On October 17, 1948, she married Martin E. Klug at Trinity Lutheran in St. Joseph. Mildred was a life-long member of Trinity where she was active in various activities over the years. She cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, and the time spent with Fay when they were able to go shopping. Mildred enjoyed knitting and was known for the thousands of wash cloths that she made for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mildred is survived by her son David (Kathy) Klug of Marysville, OH; twin granddaughters-Jennifer & Leslie Klug of Strongsville, OH; numerous nieces & nephews; and her special caregiver Fay Brink of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin on August 18, 1980, her daughter Christine Ann Klug on April 30, 1994, and three sisters-Doris Nuechterlein, Hildegard Waldeck, and Leila Nuechterlein.
