Donald E. Bartz

Donald E. Bartz, 64, of Baroda, passed away September 1, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. A private burial will be held at Spring Run Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2012. at the funeral home. Don was born October 14, 1947 in Benton Harbor, MI to Edmund & Adeline (Bauman) Bartz. He Graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1965. On October 26, 1985 he married Wanda Scott in Benton Harbor. Donald worked as a truck driver for Great Lakes Metal Stamping. He was a member of the Michiana Metro Lighthouse Chorus. In his spare time he enjoyed singing barbershop harmony and golfing. Don is survived by his wife Wanda Bartz of Baroda; son Cory (Kate) Bartz of Baroda; daughter Rebecca Bartz of Baroda; Sister Karen (Dave) Knuth of Stevensville; and many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents and son Phillip Bartz.
