Marvin M. Ott

Marvin M. Ott, Sr. 68, of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2012 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends May visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Marvin was born October 6, 1943 in Bridgman, MI to Edward & Edith (Robinson) Ott Sr. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School. In 1963 Marvin married Linda Green in Bridgman, MI. He worked for Cast-Matic in Stevensville for many years and also Thelamco in Benton Harbor. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and was involved with many church activities. Marvin is survived by his wife Linda Ott of Benton Harbor; son Marvin (Theresa) Ott Jr. of Watervliet; two grandsons Cody and Brandon Ott of Watervliet; brother Edward (Violet) Ott of Bridgman; sister Pat (Tom) Thorn of St. Joseph. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, son Craig Ott, and sisters Eloris Lausch and Marlene Ott.
