Kenneth W. “Bill” Baushke, Jr., 80, formerly of the Twin Cities area, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 in Auburndale, Florida where he had resided for the last nine years.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel with Rev. David Stout of Riverview Park Christian Church officiating. Friends may call beginning at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home or the donor’s choice. Bill was born March 9, 1932 in Hagar Township to Kenneth W. Sr. & Eva (Beedle) Baushke. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1950 and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. On March 25, 1966, he married the former Sandra Mast Brady in Benton Harbor. Bill was employed by Coca Cola in St. Joseph, retiring as office manager. Following retirement from Coke, he was employed as grounds superintendent at North Shore Memory Gardens. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Bill is survived by his wife Sandra; his children-Mary (Dave) Zaleski of Southgate, MI, Cheri (Douglas) Hendrix of Stevensville, Scott Brady of Stevensville, Gary (Kimberly) Brady of South Haven, Kenneth W. Baushke, III of Stevensville; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Emily Baushke of St. Joseph; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Baushke, and his brother David Baushke.
