William's Obituary

William “Ned” Adams, 62, of Sodus, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 while vacationing in Bellaire, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran High School. Those wishing to sign Ned’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Ned was born February 27, 1950 in Benton Harbor to Paul & Ruby (Bridges) Adams. On April 25, 1970, he married the former Paulette Vergon in Sodus. Ned was employed at Shepherd Casters for 25 years and from 1994 to 2009 by Resistance Welding in St. Joseph. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church & the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. Ned was an avid supporter of Michigan Lutheran and Notre Dame Sports, enjoyed golf, reading, history, and most of all, the time spent with his family, especially the grandchildren. Ned is survived by his wife Paulette; his children-Shelley (Skip) Thibeault of Clarkston, MI, Paul (Karen) Adams of St. Joseph; five grandchildren-Jeremy Adams, Hunter Bates-Robertson, Haley, Hunter Anne, & Trey Thibeault; his mother Ruby Grisham of Sodus; his brother Clif (Lynda) Adams of St. Joseph; his sister Paula (Kal) Adelman of New Buffalo, MI; numerous nieces & nephews; and his canine companion Spike. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Adams and his grandmother Cordie Pipkin.
