Charles ‘Chuck’ Leonard Krosschell, 63, of Baroda, MI died at home on Sat., Aug. 18, 2012. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Chapel of St. Joseph, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. A pharmacist for 35 years, Chuck enjoyed helping people. He modeled positive attitudes while coaching Lakeshore Rec Soccer and Baseball and then Cub Scout and Boy Scout leadership. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends, fishing the lakes of Michigan or Canada and enjoying the beauty of nature while hunting and camping. Chuck loved winter vacations relaxing on Negril Beach listening to reggae music and eating local foods. He continued his father’s heritage of growing gladiolas and vegetables to enjoy and share with friends. Chuck was born June 25, 1949 in Toledo, OH to Charles and Margaret (Krahn) Krosschell. Chuck is survived by his wife of 35 years Fern; three children, David Krosschell of Covert, Daniel Krosschell of Baroda, and Carley Krosschell of Maquoketa, IA; sisters, Gretchen Ziehmer, Nelly-Jane Roberson, N. Elizabeth Estes, Alice Peters and Katherine Krosschell. He is preceded in death by his parents-Charles and Margaret and a sister-Frances Mancini. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 25, 3:00pm, at Aldersgate Methodist Protestant Church, 8952 First St., Baroda, MI, with Rev. Herb Smith officiating. A time of visitation is two hours prior to the service from 1:00-3:00pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, Hospice At Home, the Red Cross or UMCOR.
