Margaret Ann Sing

Margaret Ann “Margo” Sing, 67, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away July 31, 2012 in San Jose, California. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 10, 2012 At Twelve Corners Community Church, 3902 Hicks Ave., at Hicks Ave. & Benton Center Rd., Benton Harbor, with Rev. Richard Sing officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the North Berrien Military Rites Team. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1963, attended Western Michigan University and served her country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Margo was in the first Women’s Professional Basketball League, taught physical education for a time, and found her place in manufacturing, which she loved and excelled at. Her second career was in software, where she rose to vice president levels. She had a simple business philosophy-take care of your employees, take care of your customers, and the profits will take care of themselves. Both her customers and her employees were extremely loyal, because she always fought to do what was right for both. Margo loved her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, horticulture and living life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Margo is survived by three brothers-Larry (Kim) Sing of Mattawan, Richard (Cindy) Sing of St. Joseph, David Sing of Sodus; sister-in-law Julie Sing of Michigan City, IN; twelve nieces & nephews-Terry, James, Marc, Jeff, Carrie, Amy, Ron, Rebecca, Rachel, Jeremy, David, Nikki; twenty-one great nieces & nephews; two very close and wonderful friends-Jane (Chuck) Damaske Wilson of Stevensville, and Rilene Simpson of San Jose, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Ted Sing.
