Lydia A. “Mickey” Kutz, 98, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, 245 W. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to Napier Parkview Baptist Church Missions. Those wishing to sign Mickey’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Lydia was born May 24, 1914 in Benton Harbor to Karl & Huldina (Saltzman) Grinewitzki. On August 24, 1935, she married Reinhold Kutz in Benton Harbor. Mickey was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and two sons who enjoyed her wonderful cooking & baking. She was a member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church where she was an active participant of the funeral dinner committee. Mickey enjoyed sending cards to her family & many friends on special occasions and in times of need, and was always ready to witness to someone about her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, and watching her favorite sports teams-the Chicago Cubs & the Michigan Wolverines. Mickey is survived by her son Rodney K. Kutz of Chicago; her sister–in-law Dorothy Grinewitzki of St. Joseph; & six nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Reinhold on October 24, 1970, by her son Timothy J. Kutz on March 20, 1990, two brothers-Karl & Arthur Grinewitzki, and by two sisters-Elsie Grinewitzki & Ruth Mabs.
