She married Wally Petrosius in South Bend on January 27, 1940 and lived in the St. Joseph area most of her life. The most important thing in Helen’s life was her family. She will always be remembered for going the extra mile to help someone out. She loved children and was always helping with nieces and nephews and then later in life their children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Was always willing to drive the kids to see Santa or down to the beach or anywhere else they wanted to go. She spent many weekends at Scottdale United Methodist Church with her sister Rose getting ready for church breakfasts or lunches and helping serve the meals. Her husband Wally and her son Jim were the light of her life. She always had good memories of fun times with family and friends and loved to share them with everyone telling her stories over and over till it was like you were there too. As we all tell her stories now too, we will remember Helen and rest assured that we will see her again, all brand new. She will be lovingly remembered here by her son James & his wife Sara, grandchildren, Kimberly (Phillip) McGee, Daniel (Corrina) Petrosius, Darrell (Jennette) Petrosius, Jacob Petrosius, & Audra Petrosius. Great-Grandchildren, Alexander, Joshua, Caitlin, Jayden, Marisa, Kayla, Matthew, Alida, Makenzie, Sara, Alexiss, & Drake. Special nieces and nephews, Sandy Merrill, Ronny (Nancy) Wagner, Rubin Isom, Bob (Joyce), Bill (Sharon) Schlutt and their children, Terry, Tammy, Tim, Ron jr. Mark, Amy, Mack, Frank, Matthew and so many more. Helen was called home and will be welcomed by her parents, Charles & Lillian Wagner, her beloved husband Wally, brother George, sister Rose (Nels) Schlutt, Lucille, Toni, Jo, Mabel, Bill, Stella, Lenard, Mary, Lela, Johnny and a multitude of other family and friends.
