Robert's Obituary

Robert A. Ehrhardt, 24, of Berrien Springs, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Services celebrating Robert’s life will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Isabel’s College Fund or the Humane Society of SW Michigan. Those wishing to sign Robert’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Robert was born August 14, 1987 in St. Joseph to Robert L. & Juanita (Barnett) Ehrhardt. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 2006 and was attending ITT Tech, having earned his CNA certification, working toward his RN Degree. Robert was previously employed at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center as a CNA, and most recently at Pater True Value Hardware in Scottdale. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Robert had a fearless lust for life and experienced many adventures in his short stay on this earth. Robert was a very kind & generous young man, who had a great love of family, especially newly arrived Isabel. He was full of life and always willing to help anyone with anything. Robert loved biking, camping, frog hunting, athletics, and all animals. His loss is irreplaceable, but through the grace of God, we will be reunited. Rest in Peace Robert. Robert is survived by his the love of his life Melody Miranda and their daughter Isabel Ehrhardt; his parents Robert L. & Juanita Ehrhardt of St. Joseph; his siblings-Michael James (Netsanet) Ehrhardt of Nashville, TN, Anna (Scott) Silcox of St. Joseph, Kaila Light Ehrhardt of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law Cassy (Matthew) Patty of Huntsville, AL; nieces & nephews-Kristine, Eldana, Kale, Phineas, Dalton, William, Adevanie, Traven & Iyllah; a great-aunt Maxine Mock of Berrien Springs; and his canine companion Batman. He was preceded in death by two brothers-Paul Louis & Matthew John Ehrhardt, and grandparents-Betty Jane Anthony, Andrew Ehrhardt, & Franklin & Dawn Barnett.
