Joseph Orlando

Joseph “Joe” Orlando, 85, of Benton harbor, passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A Memorial Service will be held 7:30 P.M. Friday, June 29, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Joe was born November 3, 1926 in Benton Harbor, MI to Antonio and Grace (Marsala) Orlando. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1944. Joe worked a wine salesman for Nate Wines for many years. He was a member of the Elks and Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling to Acapulco for 52 consecutive years. Joe enjoyed life and never met a stranger. Joseph is survived by his brother Paul Orlando of Benton Harbor; sister Frances Schaefer of Benton Harbor; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Anthony and George Orlando and nephew Craig Orlando.
