Willburn “Dee” Jackson, 81, of Berrien Springs passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Jon Williams officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bible Alliance. Dee was born October 29, 1930 in Sharp County, Arkansas to Walter & Leora (Couch) Jackson. On November 17, 1951 he married Donalee Gregg in St. Joseph, MI. Dee worked for Superior Steel for 27 years. In his younger years Dee enjoyed coaching his sons little league baseball teams and was an avid Cubs and Tigers fan.
Dee is survived by his wife Donalee Jackson of Berrien Springs; children Stephen (Janet) Jackson of Lakeland, FL, Deanna Jackson of Berrien Springs, MI, and Jeffery (Mary) Jackson of Portage, MI; ten grandchildren Taylor, Haley, Ross, Stephanie, Hannah, Carly, Jesse, Joey, Amanda, and Jena; two great grandchildren Ava and Bella; sister Ollie Hall of Hardy, Ark; and daughter-in-law Melody Jackson of Benton Harbor. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, son Danny Jackson, grandson Jordan, seven brothers and three sisters.
