Gregg J. Armstrong, 51, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, May 3, 2012 in Fort Collins, Colorado where he resided. Private family services will be held. Gregg was born February 19, 1961 in St. Joseph to Donald Wright & Mary Jeanette (Mueller) Armstrong. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1979. Shortly after high school Gregg moved to California, and six years ago, moved to Fort Collins, CO. He was employed as a handyman, doing whatever was needed of him. Gregg was a very simple man; it didn’t take much to make him happy. He enjoyed walking and listening to talk radio. Gregg always came up with the most beautiful and touching words for life’s special times. He loved deeply and had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. Gregg is survived by two sisters-Karla (Richard Hake) Armstrong Hake of St. Joseph, Paula (Jerry) Hollon of Richmond, KY; his brother Kurt (Michele) Armstrong of St. Joseph; nieces & nephews-Aaron (Amy) Hake, Brian Hake, Jesse, Jerome & Jonas Hollon, Andrea (Andrew) Eggert, Angela & Andrew Armstrong; a great-nephew Elijah Eggert; and two great-nieces-Aeryn & Madison Hart. Gregg was preceded in death by his father Donald in 1994, his mother Mary in 2008, and two sisters-Dona Wright Armstrong in 1976 and Angela Mary Armstrong in 1964.
