Marie Catherine Koern, 68, of Berrien Springs, passed away Sunday, April 01, 2012 at her home.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, officiated by Pastor Bruce Hayward of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, Berrien Springs. Marie was born on March 18, 1944 in Benton Harbor, to David and Ester E. (Bunnell) Carson. Marie married Donald Koern, Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2000.
Marie is survived by her three sons, Jeff & Donald Jr., of Berrien Springs, and Curtis Koern of Kentucky, three grandchildren, Niquetta Fisher, Kenny & Cody Koern, and five great-grandchildren, and a special girl she treated as a granddaughter, Sammi Porter.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and half-brother, John Kellogg.
