Noreen Ives

Noreen Ives, 89, of Benton Harbor, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 1:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Inurnment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Noreen was born March 31, 1922 in Benton Harbor, MI to Roy & Jeannette (Pino) Kimball. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On June 17, 1948 she married Kenneth Ives in South Bend. Noreen worked for Wolf’s Super Market as a bookkeeper for many years. Noreen was an avid Cubs fan. When she was not watching the Cubs, she enjoyed reading, crosswords, word searches, and spending time with her family, especially, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Noreen is survived by her children Terri (Philip) Larsen of Benton Harbor, MI, Shelley Toffelmire of New Buffalo, MI, Scott (Katie) Ives of Maple Grove, MN, and Rory (Marian) Ives of Deptford, NJ; seven grandchildren Rory (Kim) Ives Jr., Scott (Amy) Ives II, Jason (Jamie) Ives, Kenny Toffelmire, DJ Toffelmire, Kristopher (Katherine) Larsen and Katie Larsen; three great grandchildren Kamy Ives, Rory Ives III, and Addison Ives. Noreen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Robert Kimball and George Kimball, son-in-law Jerry Toffelmire.
