Cora L. Field

Cora L. Field, 69, of Sodus, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Chaplain Scott Labbe officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Cora was born October 17, 1942 in Atascadero, California to Elbert & Allie Mae (Goss) Tarwater. On October 11, 1959, she married Robert J. Field in Paso Robles, CA. After moving to the Twin Cities Area, Cora was employed at Heath-Zenith in St. Joseph for twenty-three years, and most recently as a security officer for Seven-Trees Security. She was an avid reader and was very proud of her cookie jar collection. Cora loved Sunflowers and the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cora is survived by her husband Robert; her sons-Ron (Linda) Field of New Britain, CT, Ken (Stacey) Field of St. Joseph; four grandchildren-Jackie (Branden) Tyler, Aaron Field, Kaylie Field, Jaysen Field; two great-granddaughters-Isabella & Sofia Tyler; her brother Mickey (Gary) Tarwater of Pismo Beach, CA; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings-Jimmy Tarwater, Beatrice Hurst, Ollie Whitaker, & Mary LaVanway.
