Betty Jayne Pedde

The Lord rejoiced as He welcomed Betty Pedde to our Heavenly Home. Betty passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph with Pastor Michael J. Roth of the church officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Betty was born May 21, 1932 to Otto & Hulda (Hettig) Ross. She was six of seven siblings. On September 8, 1951 she married Sam, and together they has five beautiful daughters. Betty worked most of her life serving others. She worked as a waitress at several local establishments including Candyland, Captain’s Table, Mackenzies Bakery, the Blue Chip Casino Lounge, and finally the Silver Dollar. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a constant presence while her girls attended Trinity Lutheran School. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Sam, children, Linda, Nancy, Lisa, Amy, and Sue, he beloved granddaughter Jazmyne. Also two brothers, Gay (Diane) Ross, Edgar (Ruth Ann) Ross, and her sister Edna Volkers, and Harold Pedde and Annabelle Tinberg. She has numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gerda Demkovich, Anita Ross, and Herb Ross. She touched so many peoples lives and will be greatly missed by all her “little crappers”. God love ’em.
