Mary's Obituary

Mary (Rosecky) Dolohanty, 80, recently of Saginaw, Michigan passed away March 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born January 24, 1932, in Fennimore, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Anthony and Bertha (Kienzler) Rosecky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Thomas J. Dolohanty. During the course of her husband’s career, Mary and her family resided in Madison, WI, LaPorte, IN, Findlay, OH, St. Joseph, MI and finally retiring in Fairfield Glade, TN. Mrs. Dolohanty was the loving mother of ten children…Michael (Cheryl) Dolohanty of Newbury, OH; Mary Beth (Patricia) Dolohanty of Newport, RI; Patrick (Carole) Dolohanty of Scottsdale, AZ; Dennis (Karen) Dolohanty of St. Joseph, MI; Jean (Roger) Maxwell of Phoenix, AZ; Karen (James) Mitchell of Saginaw, MI; Colleen (Richard) Callahan of Manchester, CT; Lisa (Greg) Schultheiss of Fairfield, OH; Linda (Daniel) Young of Cincinnati, OH; and Julie (Stephen) Hooper of Fairfield, OH. She leaves behind 21 cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Francis Rosecky. She is survived by her brother, John (Dorothy) Rosecky of Brookfield, WI, three sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. In addition to being the matriarch of her large and loving family, Mary volunteered at her local hospital and was always active in her church. Mary was an award winning baker, enjoyed playing cards, games and golf, sewing and quilting. She very much enjoyed traveling and visiting the friends they made throughout the years. The highlights of each year were Christmas get togethers with her family and the annual family reunions held throughout the country. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 16 (4pm) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Michigan (211 Church St) Visitation will precede the Mass at 3 pm. Reception immediately following the Mass will be at the Rose Center (301 Wayne St). In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
