Leola's Obituary

Leola Knight Esnault, 80, of Benton Harbor, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness, 281 Martin Luther King Dr., Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Those wishing to share a memory of Leola may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Leola was born January 7, 1932 in Mansura, LA to Hilary & Eunice (Lavalais) Pierre. Leola worked for Stover’s Fruit Stand and Avion Coach in Benton Harbor. On May 12, 1974 she married Herbert Esnault in Benton Harbor, who preceded her in death in May, 2010. Leola was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed cooking and baking. Leola is survived by her daughters-Linda (Eugene) Moore of Little Rock, AR, Dorothy King of Little Rock, AR, Louise (Willie) Love & Mary Ann (Charles) Stevens, Sr. of Benton Harbor, Betty (Jeffrey) Taylor of Houston, TX; three sons-Jimmie (Earnestine) Knight & Arthur (Kimberly) Knight of Benton Harbor, David (Valerie) Knight of Charlotte, NC; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchild; a sister Dorothy Lamott of LA; brother Ernest Mcghee of LA; and a host of nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Edmond Rone in 1999, her parents, first husband Ivory Rone, second husband George Knight, and two brothers and two sisters.
