Eleanor's Obituary
Eleanor (Paczwa) Pierscinski, 84, of St. Joseph, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and best friend went peacefully to our Heavenly Father on March 5th, 2012, on a beautiful sunny day on Sanibel Island with the ocean breeze. She was surrounded by her daughter Connie Hanson, son & daughter-in-law Ken & Diane Pierscinski, her grandchildren Nick, Justin, Pam, her sister & brother-in-law Joanna & Tony Pietrowski. She will be back in the arms of her true love of her life, husband Edward.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated by Father James Morris, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with a prayer service held at 7:30 PM. Memorials may be given to Berrien County Cancer Service where she volunteered her help for many years. Those wishing to sign her memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Life began on December 19, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, to proud parents Andrew & Mary (Powrozek) Paczwa. Eleanor married Edward Pierscinski on February 16, 1946. She was employed at the Ford Motor Company for 39 years as a sewing machine operator. Since April 1, 2006, she was better known for being the best flower delivery person for her grandson Nick at Bloomies Flower Studio in St. Joseph. Eleanor was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved to bring smiles to everyone she met. She was an amazing person to family and friends.
Eleanor is survived by her son Ken (Diane) Pierscinski of Macomb, MI; a daughter Connie (Greg) Hanson of Stevensville; four grandchildren Tony (Kelli) Pierscinski, Kim (Craig) Pearce, Justin (Pam) Hanson, Nick Hanson (Nate Cihlar) and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters Irene Celeski of Dearborn MI and Joanna (Tony) Pietrowski of Bonita Springs, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1984.
