Paul F. Totzke

Paul F. Totzke, 79, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 1753 Union St., Benton Harbor, MI with Fr. Dan Scheid officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine of Canterbury. Those wishing to share a memory of Paul online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Paul was born December 2, 1932 in St. Joseph, MI to Paul & Bernice (Vosberg) Totzke. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1951. He then attended Central Michigan University where he received a bachelor’s degree. On September 2, 2006 he married Helen Maynard Peters-Totzke in St. Joseph. Paul served his country in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956. He was employed for 40 years with the Boy Scouts of America. Paul enjoyed volunteering at the St. Joseph Senior Center, Soup Kitchen, St. Joe Today, St. Augustine’s Food Pantry and was a volunteer driver for Crowne Point. Paul is survived by his wife Helen Peters-Totzke of St. Joseph; daughter Pamela (Keith) Miller of Racine, WI; son Brian (Lisa) Totzke of Schaumburg, IL; grandson Scott Totzke of Schaumburg, IL. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
