Cora's Obituary

Cora Littke, 70, of Benton Harbor, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., in Stevensville with Pastor Martin Measel officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. After the burial a luncheon will be held at Christ Lutheran Church. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Schools or the Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to share a memory of Cora may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Cora was born May 29, 1941 in St. Joseph, MI to Donald & Margaret (Birr) Perlick. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On August 30, 1979, she married Kenneth Littke in St. Joseph. Cora worked as a Social Worker for the State of Michigan. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association, Chemosabes Relay for Life Group, and was a valued member of the Victim Impact Panel of Berrien County. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, traveling, bowling and was a pool shark. Cora is survived by her daughters Patricia (Ronald Isbrecht) Tanner of Benton Harbor and Cochran GA, and Pam (Randy Saffell) Tanner of Little River, SC; son Bradford Tanner Sr. of Benton Harbor; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann (David) McNees of AL, and Nora (John) Drehmann of AL; Cora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Heidi Renee Tanner and sister Judy Perlick.
