Keith's Obituary

Keith Robison Wolff, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. David Colp officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Keith was born August 22, 1932 in Cook County, Illinois to Clyde and Mildred (Swets) Wolff. He married the former Patricia Mae Sikkema on April 2, 1951, who he has cherished since the second grade. Keith honorably served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 as a dental technician on a ship during the Korean Conflict. He was president of C.L. Wolff & Sons Painting where he worked many years with his father and brothers. After closing the painting business he worked for St. Joseph Charter Township Parks Department. Keith was instrumental in the development of the North Lincoln Boys Baseball Association. He was involved with St. Joseph American Legion Post 163 for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at his cabin in Hawkins, Michigan. Keith placed great value and pride in being a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. To know Keith Wolff was to respect him. Keith is survived by his wife Patricia; children Kathleen Soper of Stevensville, Kristi (Al) Buursma of Stevensville, Scott (Gina) Wolff of Tampa, Florida, Eric (Robbin) Wolff of Stevensville and Curtis (Brenda) Wolff of Stevensville; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Dale (Flo) Wolff of Coloma and Bruce (Dee) Wolff of North Carolina; and a sister Judy (Tom) Masten of North Carolina. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brian Wolff.
