Natalie's Obituary
Natalie “Tala” Plee, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, St. Matthews, or the Heritage Center. Natalie was born May 14, 1923 in Rovno, Poland to George & Julianna (Link) Eberhardt. At the age of three Natalie came to America with her family. On August 6, 1944 Natalie married Billy Plee in Benton Harbor. Besides being a homemaker and mother she worked for Benton Harbor Glass Company during the war and in 1979 for Meskimens Gift Shop in St. Joseph for 21 years. She also was a volunteer director for Fort Miami Heritage Center in St. Joseph for eight years. Natalie was a member of St. Matthews and Grace Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crafts, line dancing, boating, and cooking.
Natalie is survived by her daughter Susan Plee of Watervliet, son Steve (Shelley) Plee of Miami, FL; three grandchildren Michael, Amber, Tara; great granddaughter Annabell; special niece Norma Still and many other nieces and nephews; Natalie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers Fred, Ernest, Ted, Ervin, and sister Marie.
