Thelma's Obituary

Thelma Dohm, 69, of Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday on August 29, 2011 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Rev. Glen Head officiating. Friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel. Memorials may be made to Eau Claire District Library or American Red Cross. Those wishing to sign Thelma’s memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Thelma was born on April 8, 1942 in Cash, Arkansas to Roy and Thelma (Matthews) Forrester. On July 16, 1961, she married Earl Dohm in Berrien Center, MI. Thelma worked for Michigan Tube in Eau Claire, in the Quality Control Department, and later retired. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family, “Chattering always and giggling too, when you’re around “Sis”, you can’t be blue”. Thelma was an American Red Cross blood donor and a former member of the Crystal Springs Church of God. Thelma is survived by her husband Earl Dohm of Eau Claire, daughters Anita (Brian) Harner of Eau Claire; Susan Dohm of Eau Claire; son Randy (Tanya) Dohm of Kalamazoo; grandchildren Lindsay Harner of Eau Claire; Hazen Harner of Eau Claire; Sydney Harner of Eau Claire; Kirk Dohm of Kalamazoo; Cole Dohm of Kalamazoo; Rose Dohm of Kalamazoo; four brothers Lee (Barb) Forrester of Minnesota; William (Jackie) Forrester of Coloma; Dennis (Cindy) Forrester of Watervliet; Gary (Marie) Forrester of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Themla Forrester; her sister Charlotte Neeley.
