Ryan's Obituary
Ryan Dean Luckey, 49, of St. Joseph, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, MI with Pastor’s Roger Beitzel and Michael White officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2011, at the funeral home. Ryan was born March 20, 1962 to Richard and Peggy Sue (Grandstaff) Luckey. On July 28, 1984 he married Sandy (Beitzel) in Lexington, Ohio. Ryan worked as an Emergency Technician for the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for the past 6 years. He had 26 years of service with Lakeland Hospital. Ryan enjoyed the outdoors, decorating, moving items around and most of all, loved cooking out with his family and friends. Ryan was a member of the foreign exchange organization called Foreign Links Around the Globe. He also accepted foreign exchange students into his home and touched the lives of many people around the world. Ryan was a loyal, devoted loving father, grandfather and husband. Granddaughter Katelyn adored her Poppi, and will dearly miss him.
Ryan is survived by his wife Sandy Luckey of St. Joseph; sons Ryan Luckey of St. Joseph; Richard Luckey of St. Joseph; granddaughter Katelyn Renee Luckey of St. Joseph; brother Randal (Candace) Luckey of Benton Harbor; sister Melissa (Edwin) Krajeck of Cattlesburg, Kentucky; Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Heather Renee Luckey.
