Donna Sitek

Donna M. Sitek, 77, of Stevensville, passed away at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer on October 23, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father James Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, from 4-8 P.M. with a rosary recited at 7:30 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Donna was born September 1, 1934, in Superior, Wisconsin, to Henry and Ethel (Stansky) Gulland. She married George Sitek on June 25, 1955, in Superior. Donna was an elementary school secretary for Lakeshore Public Schools for 25 years and always had a heart for children. She was full of positive energy and was always the life of the party. She was an avid golfer, bowler, traveler and bridge player. Most of all, she was a big Packers fan. Donna was a kind and generous person. She is survived by two daughters, Georgia (Jeff) Kraft, Morrison, Colorado; Diane (Pat) Underwood, Stevensville; three grandchildren, Steve Kraft, Carly Kraft, and Kevin Underwood; two brothers, Bobby (Gail) Gulland, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hank (Gloria) Gulland, Las Vegas, Nevada; and by a sister, Kay Tomasik, Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; and her husband George on November 10, 1984.
