Betty's Obituary
Betty Sue Diller, 68, of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with pastor Throstur Thordarson. Burial will follow at Shanghai Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Betty was born April 13, 1943 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Andrew & Ruby (Hardin) Lee. Betty worked for the activities department at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. In 1998 Betty married John Diller. Betty was very devoted to her work and cared for everyone she was around.
Betty is survived by her husband John Diller of Buchanan; daughter Deanna (Matthew) Fowler of Stevensville; son Jim (Cheryl) Poole of Wellington, CO; grandchildren John Fowler of Stevensville, Brittney Fowler of Stevensville, Craig Fowler of Stevensville, Michael Fowler of Stevensville; Wyatt Poole of Wellington, CO and Codi Poole of Wellington, CO; great grandchildren Kayden & Luke Fowler; brothers Andrew (Ginny) Lee of South Carolina and Thelbert (Nancy) Lee of Berrien Springs; brother-in-law Russ Hicks of Sodus; former husband Bob Poole of Simpson, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol Hicks and brother Tommy Lee.
