Gene Adam DeMorrow

Gene Adam DeMorrow, 35, of St. Joseph passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave., St. Joseph with Pastor Franz Brandenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may also visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday October 20, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the DeMorrow Family. Those wishing to share a memory of Adam may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Adam was born November 20, 1975 in Berrien Springs, MI to Gene & Denise (Nemethy) DeMorrow. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1994 and attended Ferris State and Southwestern Michigan College. On February 24, 2001 he married Karina Fancher. Adam worked for Closson’s 3-d Truck Repair in Sodus as a heavy machinery mechanic. Adam enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends and loved his church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, motorcycle riding, hotrods, and working on cars and engines. Adam is survived by his wife Karina DeMorrow of St. Joseph; sons Adam Joseph DeMorrow and Christopher Theron DeMorrow of St. Joseph; daughter Katie Marie DeMorrow of St. Joseph; parents Gene & Denise DeMorrow of St. Joseph; brother Tony “Glenn” Anthony DeMorrow of Benton Harbor; grandfather Frank Nemethy of St. Joseph; mother-in-law Dawn Fancher of St. Joseph; grandmother Norbertine Phillips of Sawyer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa DeMorrow and grandmother Joan Nemethy.
