Donald Ketcham

Donald “Duck” Ketcham, 74, of Coloma, MI died at his home on Saturday, September 3. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MI. Donald was born on June 11, 1937 in LaPorte County, IN to Verle and Retha (Bollman) Ketcham. He served his country while in the U.S. Army. Donald was a self-employed cement finisher. He loved golfing, fishing and mushroom hunting. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center – 200 N. Park St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or to Hospice At Home of South Haven, MI. Donald is survived by his three children, Dawn Rowe of Coloma, Rhonda (David) Shinault of Coloma, and Richard Ketcham of Benton Harbor; five grandchildren, Jimmy Rowe, Tabitha Poupard, Brittney Poupard, Heather Ketcham and Sonny Gaithright; three brothers, Thomas (Alice) Ketcham of Coloma, Ronald (Kris) Ketcham of Niles, Jerry (Peggy) Ketcham of Lexington, SC; and a sister, Beverly (Lynn) Powers of Cibolo, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents-Verle and Retha, and a brother-Edward. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, September 8, 11:30am, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI. Visitation is on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
