Gisela M. Fitzner

Gisela M. Fitzner, 73, of Stevensville, passed away on July 25, 2011 at her residence. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Washington Ave. Church of God 4051 Washington Ave. in St. Joseph with Rev. Andy Hannich officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM Saturday at the church. She attended the Fritzlar Bible College where she met her future husband, Jonathan Fitzner. On July 24, 1960 they were married in Germany. Gisela supported her husband in his Church of God Pastorates in Germany and the United States. She was employed as a translator for The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, Philadelphia, PA. Gisela was a devoted Christian and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who also enjoyed writing poetry. Gisela is survived by her husband Jonathan, four children, seven grandchildren, five siblings and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by three siblings.
