Clinton's Obituary

Clinton D. Ball, 78, of Sodus, MI passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Clint was born November 9, 1932 in Stevensville, MI to Anton & Hattie (Mischke) Ball. He graduated from St. Joseph High School Class of 1950. Clint served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and served his community as an employee of the St. Joseph Post Office and the St. Joseph Fire Department. He retired from Du-Wel Die Casting in Bangor in 1994 after 15 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #105-Benton Harbor and the Benton Harbor Moose Lodge. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the out-of-doors. Clint is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Mark) Treiber of Auburn, MI and Tamara Ball of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, and Sarah Treiber; and his sister, Judith (Don) Bodjack of St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents. Clint is remembered by his family as a gentle, quiet, and perceptive man who loved his community, never faltered in his support of family, and through his actions, taught the importance of a strong work ethic.
