Ralph Spotts

Ralph B. Spotts, 63, of Benton Harbor, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home. A Memorial Gathering celebrating Ralph’s Life will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Stevensville American Legion, 3127 Johnson Rd., Stevensville. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Ralph was born July 12, 1948 in Burlington, New Jersey to Ralph & Viola (Wilson) Spotts. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On January 12, 1985, he married the former Rebecca “Becky” (Griebe) in Benton Harbor. Ralph was employed as a Postman for the US Post Office in Burlington, NJ and St. Joseph, retiring in 2006 after thirty-four years. He was currently employed as a delivery driver at Tara Florist. Ralph was a member of Stevensville American Legion Post #568 and American Legion Post #105 in Benton Harbor. Ralph is survived by his wife Becky; two sons-Shawn Spotts of New Jersey, Jeffery (Jen) Spotts of Glouster, NJ; his grandson Jakob Spotts; a half-brother George (Bobby Ann)Schumard of Florida; three cousins-William Eberly, Jack Eberly, and Joyce Harding; three sisters-in-law-Alice Locke & Patricia Jacobs, both of Midland, MI, Mary Louise Griebe of Essexville, MI; a brother-in-law David Griebe of Cheybogan, MI; and numerous nieces & nephews.
