Richard's Obituary
Richard (Dick) Henninger Sr., 63, of Stevensville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday August 7th 2011 after an heroic battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Dick had an outgoing personality, combined with an imaginative sense of humor and charm. Everyone who knew him undoubtedly knew of his love for his wife Ursula of over 40 years. Dick, loved golfing, enjoyed traveling, playing with his grand dog Vinnie, and most of all bringing laughter to his friends and family with his uncanny sense of humor.
Dick was born on December 25th, 1947, in Reading, Pennsylvania to Robert and Mary Henninger. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Education at Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. While attending college he met his bride to be Ursula and was married on March 25th 1971. Dick spent most of his career in Logistics and Distribution, this job gave him and his family a chance to travel and live in many areas of the United States, with his final home being in Stevensville, Michigan.
Dick is survived by his wife Ursula Henninger of Stevensville, Michigan son Richie Henninger, Jr. of Stevensville, Michigan Daughter Erica Henninger-Stahl and son-in-law Jeff Stahl of Bridgman, Michigan and his grand-dog Vinnie. Dick is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Henninger of Reading, Pennsylvania and his in-laws Fred and Irmgard Korsching of Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00p.m. on Friday August 12th at Lakeshore Christian Church 5565 Washington Avenue, Saint Joseph, Michigan with Walter McCutcheon presiding, fellowship to follow.
