Georgia “Jo†Isom, 68, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00P.M.on July 25, 2011 at the Scottdale United Methodist Church, 4271 Scottdale Rd. in Scottdale, with Rev. Terrill M. Schneider officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale. Friends may visit from 2:00P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lakeland or Scottdale United Methodist Church. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Jo was born December 13, 1942 in St. Joseph, MI to George and Lucille (Mach) Wagner. On June 3, 1961 she married William “Rubin†Isom in St. Joseph, MI. Jo was a housewife and devoted to her family. She was active in her church, a past treasurer of the church, treasurer of the woman's group and never missed a church function. She has been a room mother, den mother (Cub Scouts), and a 4-H leader. Jo was very involved in the Berrien County Youth Fair and the Soup Kitchen. Jo was a loyal, devoted loving mother and wife. She loved animals, flowers, friends, and extended family.
Jo is survived by her husband Rubin Isom of St. Joseph; sons Mack Isom of Baroda; Frank Isom of Phoenix, AZ; a brother Ron (Nancy) Wagner of St. Joseph; and a sister Sandy Merrill (Isom) of Berrien Springs.
