Mayril “Dean†Anderson, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away, Friday, July 15, 2011 at Golden Age Manor in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Eternal Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market Sts., St. Joseph, with Rev. Tom Batsky officiating, with visitation preceding from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School. Dean was born November 6, 1936 in St. Joseph to Eugene W. & Ella L. (Reck) Graham. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1954, and attended Western Michigan University. Dean was employed by Benton Harbor Area School as a Cost Analyst in the Central Warehouse before she retired in 1998 after 24 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Dean loved to sing, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Choir and formerly with the Twin Cities Symphony. She volunteered at the Krasl Art Center and The Box Factory for the Arts. Dean loved Lake Michigan and Silver Beach, having grown up as a “Sand Rabbitâ€.
Dean is survived by three daughters-Lorna Woodhams of Kalamazoo, Andrea Anderson of St. Joseph, Julia (David) Connolly of Crown Point, IN; two grandchildren-Eric (Lorie Beth) Legus of Beverly Hills, FL, Ihn Anderson of St. Joseph; two great-grandchildren-Keeley & Megan Legus; her sister-in-law Irene Graham of Valparaiso, IN; her cousin Adele (Bill) Bluschke of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Stacia Anderson in 1983; her sister Sharon Creager in 2001, and her brother Eugene Graham in 2009.
