Marilyn's Obituary

Marilyn J. Wobith, 86, of Stevensville, formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Phil Bubar officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Saugatuck, Michigan. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. She graduated from Lakeview High School in Chicago in 1942. Marilyn was employed for many years as a cook at Northbrook Jr. High School in Northbrook, Illinois. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower & vegetable gardens, and cooking & baking. Marilyn was a loving mother who cherished the time spent with her children & grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by three sons-Kenneth (Patty) Wobith of Chicago, Donald (Mary) Wobith of Saugatuck, Larry (Debbie) Wobith of Vernon Hills, IL; nine grandchildren-Stacey (Chuck) Linkowski, Amy (Patrick) Cummins, Katie Helsel, James, David, Andrew & Ashley Wobith, Jenny (Brian) Loring, Kristen (Dave) Patterson; three great-grandchildren-Jake Linkowski, Owen Cummins, Stella Loring; her sister-Dorothy Nordlander of St. Joseph; her brother Richard (Carole) Anderson of Deergrove, WI; and several close nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant sister Alma Anderson.
