Irma Sheridan, 68, of Sodus, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3713 Naomi Rd., Sodus with Rev. Robert Duehlmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Irma was born September 7, 1942 in South Haven to Grant & Elizabeth “Bessie” Frabe. She graduated from South Haven High School in 1960. On November 28, 1963, she married Philip Sheridan in South Haven. Irma was employed for twenty-five years at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, for eight years at Riverwood Center, and for the last one and one-half years at Meijer in Benton Harbor as a greeter. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and in her spare time enjoyed reading, knitting, spending time with her friends, family and most importantly her grandchildren.
Irma is survived by her son Pat Sheridan of Sodus, her daughter Marsha (Jacob) Briney of Charlotte, MI; two grandchildren-Keilana & Jetta Briney; two brothers-Don (Gerri) Frabe & Larry (Camille) Frabe both of South Haven; a sister-in-law Audrey Frabe of South Haven; three nephews; one niece; and her best friend of forty-five years Joanne Kurland of Stevensville. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Philip on January 25, 2001, and her brother Leroy Frabe in 2011.
