Jack's Obituary
Jack J. Imbordino, 83, of St. Joseph, went home to his Heavenly Father and his loved ones, Thursday, July 21, 2011.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Coloma American Legion. A private burial will be held at a later date at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Jack was born January 23, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Dominic & Tillie (Eanni) Imbordino. He served his country in the United States Army from 1946 until 1949. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 1987 where he served as the Chief Union Steward. On October 4, 1996, he married Joanne (Smith) Hall in St. Joseph. Jack was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was formerly a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the American Legion. He enjoyed being with his family, playing cards, traveling in his motor home, fishing, and helping others with construction or mechanical problems. Jack was a very intelligent yet humble and modest person.
Jack is survived by his wife Joanne Imbordino of St. Joseph; children Rick Imbordino of Kalamazoo, Jack (Rose) Imbordino of Baroda, Tona Scott of St. Joseph, Susan Imbordino of St. Joseph; two step-children Glenn Hall of Niles and Nikole Wagner of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; six grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Emily, Samantha, Taylor and Josh; and two great-grandchildren Owen & Tessa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Pinckney in 1994; two brothers Thomas and Joseph Imbordino; and by a granddaughter Alyssa Wagner.
