Nettie Meadows

Nettie “Sue” Meadows, 73, of Bridgman, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Jordan's Life Care Center in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A private burial will follow at Hagar Shore Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Sue was born July 7, 1937 in New Madrid, Missouri, to James & Dollie (Adcock) Stewart. On July 18, 1987 she married Albert Meadows in Bridgman, MI. Sue always enjoyed a cup of coffee where ever she went. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Addisyn Barnes, attending church service and singing hymns with her fellow friends at Jordan's, gardening, playing cards, bird watching and taking care of her cats. Sue is survived by her children Michelle (Christopher) Barnes, Rickey Dotson, Troy Lee Dotson, and Tina Sue Durian; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Meadows on April 11, 2006, sisters Lillie White, Charlotte Kent, Helen Pritchett and Betty Stewart; and brother Wilford Stewart.
