Ralph E. Christman, 73, passed away June 5, 2011 in St. Joseph, Michigan. A Memorial Service will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 6:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. David Markel with a Veterans Service to follow. Also a Service will be held at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 Ohio 78, Woodsfield, OH on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors PO Box 758516, Topeka; KS 66675-8516 Ralph was born on July 23, 1937 to Lee and Margaret (Earley) Christman in Calais, OH. He graduated from Summerfield High School in 1955. Ralph enlisted in the United States Air Force for six years. He attended college at Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, IN to become an electrical engineer. He worked at Westinghouse in Columbus, OH and for Whirlpool in Marion, OH, Findlay, OH, and St. Joseph, MI. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Karen (Rubel) Christman and three daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Kruger, Debra (Austin) Kuo and Danielle Christman; one grand-daughter Abigail Kruger; two brothers Dale (Joan) Christman and Roger (Janet) Christman. Ralph was preceded in death by his father Lee Christman in 2003 and his mother Margaret (Earley) Christman in 2011.
