Gerald Glyn (GB) Brewer, 66 of Benton Harbor MI, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in his sleep at his home in Benton Harbor. A Service celebrating Glyn's Life will be held 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Brewer Family. He was the son of the late Vivan and Gladys Brewer of Coloma, MI. In 1962 he married Sharon Ann Roberts of Benton Harbor, who preceded him in death Nov. 2000. They had three children Michael, Scott and Richard. GB remarried Lori Gowin of Benton Harbor in 2006. GB will always be remembered for his jovial spirit, and as a loyal brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He dedicated his life to the ones he loved. He worked hard to support his passions, family & friends. GB spent 42 years with Kendall Industrial as a salesman in Benton Harbor. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, Stevensville, Moose Lodge Benton Harbor, FOP 96 St. Joseph, and the Blizzard Brigade Eau Claire, MI. He is survived by wife Lori; sons Michael of Benton Harbor, Scott & his wife Janita of Granger, IN, and Richard of St. Joseph. Three sisters Beverly & Carl Thompson of Russellville AR, Carol & Mike Honcharenko of St. Joseph, and Cindi and Dave Zech of Eau Clare. Grandchildren Scott JR, Whitney, Jordan, Jacey, Joshua, and Tori. Brother-in-law Paul Sorce, nephews Ron Sorce, Sean Soulard, Dwayne Thompson. Nieces Sherri Richards, Tammy Milano, Samantha Zech. Sister-in-law Tracey & Joe Combs brother-in-law Chris & Kara Gowin, mother-in-law Joan Gowin, father-in-law Ron Gowin. Best friend his dog Mason, cats Clyde, Bonnie, Missy, and Sammie. Best human friend and morning coffee buddy Randy Carlson. Preceding him in death are his parents Vivan & Gladys, parents-in-law Larry & Virginia Roberts, sister-in-law Marie Sorce, nephew Paul Skip Sorce, first wife of 38 years and mother of his children Sharon Ann Brewer.
