Natalie (Parrett) Perkins, 88, of St. Joseph passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Whitcomb Tower in St. Joseph.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 23, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with pastor Wade Panse officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Keeler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph. Those wishing to share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Natalie was born April 7, 1923 in Watervliet, MI to Wilbur & Etha (Myers) Smith. On April 27, 1947 she married William “Harry†Parrett in Watervliet, MI. Natalie worked as a Bookkeeper for Parrett for many years. After Harry's passing she married Kenneth Perkins in 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph First United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching sports, shopping, boating in Florida, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Natalie is survived by her children Greg Parrett of St. Joseph, Linda (Brian) Proctor of Chicago, IL., and Michael (Barbara) Parrett of San Rafael, CA; nine grandchildren Geoffrey (Karrie) Parrett, Christopher (Krista) Parrett, Elizabeth Stinson, Joelle Parrett, Colette Parrett, William Parrett, Harrison Proctor, Erin Proctor and Emma Proctor; three great grandchildren Tristan Satcher, Kaleb Parrett, and Kole Parrett; brother Eugene (Avis) Smith. Natalie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands William “Harry†Parrett and Kenneth Perkins, brother Eldon Smith.
