Richard Dick Myers

Richard “Dick” Myers, 66, of Coloma passed away, Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the New freedom Church 6210 Mountain Rd. Coloma, MI. at 11:00 with Rev. Wade Blankenship officiating, with cremation to follow. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Dick was born on January 31, 1945 in Osceola, ARK., to the late Rev. Floyd and Merlye (Langston) Myers. On February 15, 1964 he married Linda Whitaker, the love of his life. Dick was employed as a manufacturing manager with Auto Specialties for 34 years, and retired in 2002. He was a devoted family man spending much of his time with his family. Dick was a loyal Michigan fan and loved to play golf. Dick is survived by wife Linda of Coloma; sons Jon and Brian Myers of Coloma, David Myers of Benton Harbor; grandchildren Brittany, Alexis, Adam, TJ, Jake, Justin, and Evan; brothers Floyd Myers Jr. of Watervliet, and Stephen Myers of Benton Harbor.
