Grace Weber

Grace P. Weber, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her daughter's home in Spring Lake, MI. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market Sts., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, in Coloma. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church-St. Joseph. She worked in real estate for 22 years at Century 21 and Fister Real Estate. She was a member of Monday musical, a philanthropic organization that raised scholarship money for young musicians for over 40 years, and also taught piano and organ lessons in her home for 15 years. Grace will be remembered for her incredibly positive outlook on life, her gracious demeanor and her ready smile. She was a very elegant lady who always had a kind word for those she came in contact with. Grace was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph and her faith in Christ was a rock that provided a solid foundation for her and her family. Grace was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Jack of 55 years, and was adored by her daughters and 5 grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed many hours of friendship around the card table in her various bridge clubs. Grace loved the times spent out at the cottage with friends and family. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and gardening. Grace is survived by daughters Barbara (Kelly) Duff of Spring Lake, Marjorie (James) Barlas of Allegan; grandchildren, Kevin, Patrick and Molly Duff, Emily and Julie Barlas; neice Elizabeth Oetter of Durango CO. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 2008 and her twin brothers Howard and Harold Oetter.
