William Beach

William Beach, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Orchard Grove Extended Care Centre. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Prayer Chapel at the First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph with Rev. Robert Confer officiating. Memorials may be made to the family. He moved to Grayslake, IL where he married Rebecca “Becky” Kreis in 1973. They lived in Zion, IL until 1978 when they moved to Bridgman. William had a beautiful & bountiful flower & vegetable container garden at his River Terrace apartment in Benton Harbor where he resided for some 18 years. He enjoyed feeding the birds at Orchard Grove. He is survived by his son Benjamin, his ex-wife Rebecca, both of Benton Harbor; two brothers-George & Larry Beach; two half-sisters-Carol Girdham & Pat Sandveit; one step-sister Sharon Hanning; three half-brothers-Jerry, Rick and Robert Nofzinger; three step-brothers-Dale, Don & Dick Nofzinger; brother-in-law Richard Pawson, and a special nephew Daniel Pawson. He was preceded in death by his father George Beach, his mother Margaret Nofzinger, and a sister Sandra Pawson.
