Inger's Obituary

Inger A. Richcreek, 95, of Benton Harbor, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Ed Richcreek officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Inger was born March 7, 1916 in Coloma to Phillip & Emma (Hinz) Warman. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1934 and attended college at Western Michigan University. On October 15, 1939 she married LaCurtis Richcreek. Inger was employed as a receptionist by Dr. Irgens in the Fidelity Building in Benton Harbor. After retirement, she volunteered for many years at Mercy Hospital. Inger was a people person. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, neighbors & friends. She served as the family historian & genealogist, and always enjoyed a discussion about politics. Inger is survived by her son Jim (Lynn) Richcreek of Stanwood, MI; her granddaughter Shara (Kevin) Olsen of Stanwood; three great-grandchildren-Chris, Levi & Dawson; and by numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband LaCurtis on July 21, 1988 and by eight brothers & sisters.
